The Fundraising Coordinator will maintain fiscal integrity, reporting and financial compliance, and data integrity of the HumanKind (HK) donor database and provide direct support to the Development Team. This position is responsible for accurate donor records, gift entry and processing, gift acknowledgment, reporting and assisting with the capital campaign. This position will also assist the Development Team in fundraising efforts and related events as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

Works collaboratively with the Development team, senior leadership, and staff to provide accurate information on donors and protects the confidentiality of this data.

Performs specialized and technical tasks relating to maintenance of donor records, addresses, work, and contact information in database.

Prepares donor profiles as requested by Development team and senior leadership to prepare for donor meetings.

Conducts prospect research for prospective donors and volunteers providing information related to stewardship efforts for prospecting and cultivation of prospective donors.

Provides support and training for other staff on use of the database, serving as the single point of contact for database support requests and questions.

Enters all gifts, pledges, and registrations into the database in a timely manner and delivers gift deposits, logs and other necessary reports to the Development team and senior leadership as required.

Creates acknowledgement letters and ensures timely acknowledgement of all gifts.

Facilitates monthly reconciliation of gifts entered in the system and works closely with staff to reconcile gift information accurately.

Maintains thorough knowledge of report inventory and its uses, and works with staff to create reports, and clarify report requests and formatting needs.

Produces regular reports on gifts, pledge reminders, birthdays, deceased donors, and other Development team reports and generates appropriate letters and emails.

Provides data and lists needed for all solicitations and communication from the Development team.

Works with Development team to meet fundraising goals as well as individual goals for the position.

Solicits lower-level sponsorships for all events and provides logistics support as part of the Development team as needed.

Assists with grants and grant reporting as needed

Facilitates the stewardship process for restricted and endowed funds, ensuring timely entry of data into the database and generates letters for the appropriate stewards of each fund.

Performs all year-end procedures to reconcile with the Finance department, creating lists for the annual report, and other reports as needed.

Reviews and updates annually all processes and procedures, including instruction procedures for gift processing, end-of-year activities, and policies to improve data integrity.

Collaborates with staff across departments to ensure the efficient and accurate exchange of data.

Participates in planning and support related to major giving, annual giving, capital campaign, internal/external events, and volunteer services to identify information needs.

Participates in the annual internal and external audits, supporting with reports and information as needed, for the Development and Finance teams.

Assists as needed in fundraising efforts and related events such as Operation Holiday and Humanitarian Awards while implementing process improvements to make event success and accuracy of data.

Other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Qualifications

Associate degree in business, computer science or related field plus two or more years related work experience in data management, systems management, and Microsoft Office applications, as well as basic knowledge of accounting pr nciples, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Two or more years of advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, formulas, functions, reporting and database management.

Valid Kansas Drivers License

Prior work in a similar capacity with a nonprofit organization

Direct experience with Raisers Edge database

Knowledge of HK policies and procedures related to donations, donor relations, accounting, and finance.
