Friends University is seeking to fill the Help Desk Technician position in Wichita Kansas. This is an on-site position that provides first point of contact for Information Technology and Educational Technology customer questions, problems, and requests. The technician will use incident management software to track, correct, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution. The technician will resolve customer issues or escalate more complex issues to the appropriate area.

Qualifications

Minimum one year of hands-on experience with personal computer software and hardware troubleshooting and support.

An associates degree in computer science or equivalent experience. Desirable certifications, CompTIA A+, Network +, Security +, Microsoft IT Support.

Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.

Technology proficiency in MS Office products and networks. Ability to multitask. Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner. Ability to have a positive and productive working relationship with co-workers, university personnel, and students. Working knowledge of all office equipment, including, but not limited to, computer, copier, fax machine, and telephone.
