Where do you fit?

To be a successful ICWA Coordinator you must become able to do the following always:

  1. This position is responsible for performing administrative duties and services in support of the ICWA guidelines and process.
  2. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) case activities and ensure there are established goals and objectives in conjunction with the established tribes and state agencies.
  3. Conducts intakes, preliminary assessments of requests, and formulates and/or makes recommendations for service plans and maintains client records documenting client service delivery in accordance with social work standards and requirements of the agency.
  4. Communication and collaboration with the tribal representative regarding placement options to receive their approval for the new placement.
  5. Participates in Multidisciplinary Teams (MDT), case staff reviews, and reviews withrelevant Court personnel to coordinate services for clientele.
  6. Ensure all documentation regarding the BID process and outcomes is sent to the Tribe as required by ICWA.
  7. Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Companys Program Practice Guidelines.

How you will spend your time in this job:

  • 70% ICWA Administrative Process
  • 30% Data and Reporting

Requirements

To qualify for this job, you need to have:

  1. Degree Requirement - High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred a bachelors degree in social work, Psychology, or related field, or equivalent work experience in a similar setting.
  2. Work Experience Administrative skills in ICWA or related field. Familiar with ICWA federal law, and tribal regulations and policy. Can work effectively with Native American People in a culturally diverse environment.
  3. Performs duties requiring knowledge and skill in human service /public relations.
  4. 21 years of age. Must pass a background check, fingerprinting, and physical and drug screening.
  5. Maintain company-required training.
  6. Ability to travel, drive company or personal vehicle including at night. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. The employee is subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally, inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change.
