SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Engineeris responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to produce high-quality aerospace components and assemblies. This role ensures that production processes are efficient, cost-effective, and meet all regulatory and quality standards. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and production, to improve existing processes and troubleshoot issues, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Performs producibility assessments for a product design and collaborates with design engineers to ensure manufacturability and provide producibility input for design engineering, manufacturing process development, and manufacturing technologies to meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Analyze production methods and workflows to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
• Develops integrated work instructions and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
• Implement and maintain production control systems, including lean manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
• Develops tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.
• Provides configuration accountability for the implementation of committed changes.
• Reviews and approves supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met.
• Confers with internal and external customers concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
• Confers with vendors to determine part specifications and recommends the purchase of equipment and materials used in manufacturing and production.
• Performs root cause analysis and implements corrective actions to address quality issues and non-conformities.
