Newman University Technology Customer Care Associate in Wichita, Kansas

Occupational Summary

This position provides the Information Services Desk support through routing phone calls, inputting support requests that require additional support into our ticket system, email, or as directed, providing general information services to stakeholders, and performing password/MFA resets and level one customer support primarily by telephone. This position is located on-site.

Work Performed:

  • Greet Newman University callers that require operator assistance and route their calls .

  • Act as the point of contact for the IT office by greeting visitors, answering calls, and handling mail items .

  • Provide level 1 IT support as directed .

  • Take messages for support requests that require further assistance.

  • Coordinate with others and make sure someone is available to answer incoming calls.

  • Perform general administrative support duties such as filing, data entry, and copying for IT staff.

  • Assist with maintaining budget information, invoices, checks, and IT records.

  • Order supplies, equipment, and furnishings for the Administrative Computing department.

  • Attend end-user departmental meetings that affect computing needs .

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills/Training:

  • Five years of relevant work experience; Associate's degree preferred

  • Technological competency of telephone and computer system usage.

  • Demonstrated customer service skills are essential!

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
