Metro is seeking a Customer Service Rep I to be the next member of our Customer Service Team.  Our people are at the center of our success.  We are a smart, supportive team with diverse perspectives. This is not a call center environment. There is no "script". You will develop relationships with your assigned customer base and solve issues based on the market and product knowledge you obtain.  You will interface with customers via phone calls, email, and chat.  Customer volume can be high at times. Primary Responsibilities: To provide consistent, exceptional support of daily activities with customers, sales representatives, internal customers and department members in maintaining proper level of service. Provide timely support regarding customer inquiries, orders and problem situations of a routine nature. Coordinate involvement with CSR II's and CS Supervisors as required. Review and process incoming orders accurately, including but not limited to confirming contact and billing information, pricing and promotions. Support CSR II's with daily activity flow to promote prompt customer response. Generate written freight price quotations through RateMaker. Manage customer portals both internal and external. Assist in mail collection and distribution. Possess knowledge and understanding of the Code of Business Ethics. Contribute to a workplace environment that is conducive to the maintenance of the Code. Remain alert and sensitive to situations that could result in actions by an employee that are illegal, unethical, in violation of the Code or the policies and procedures that support the Code. Report actual or perceived violations of the Code or Company policies and procedures for appropriate action. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED 3 years' work experience in a similar capacity.
