DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will perform a variety of fiscal duties using Excel, Word, and CAPS (Children Accounting & Profile Systems). Responsibilities include processing invoices and maintaining physical and electronic files for all daycare invoicing and acting as liaison on behalf of Luzerne County Children, Youth and Families. You will also record attendance information and verify invoices to ensure accuracy, review daycare request forms, and notify workers of approvals. Teamwork is essential as you will collaborate with other fiscal techs, caseworkers, and other employees to complete your daily job functions and provide support to other fiscal positions. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Luzerne County.
