Derman Associates Mechanical Project Manager in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania

Derman Associates is seeking a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of mechanical projects from inception to completion, ensuring that each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of mechanical projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.

  • Conduct detailed cost estimating for mechanical systems and prepare budget proposals.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors and vendors to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.

  • Oversee the procurement of equipment, materials, and services essential for project success.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules and budgets, ensuring adherence to all deadlines.

  • Guarantee that all projects meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations.

  • Supervise the fabrication and installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing components.

  • Coordinate with various trades, including MEP, fire protection and demolition

  • Ensure all projects align with LEED and sustainability standards.

  • Maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.

  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project status.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 2years of experience in mechanical management within the construction industry.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing

  • Proven experience in cost estimating for mechanical projects.

  • Proficiency in project management software, including  FASTduct and FASTpipe and scheduling tools.

  • Experience with the fabrication and installation of mechanical systems.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects simultaneously.
