Introducing Nestlé Purina’s new Williamsburg Township, Ohio, factory – just 30 miles east of Cincinnati. The Nestle Purina Maintenance Department is seeking to build a team of technicians with a variety of skillsets including but not limited to: general electrical and mechanical troubleshooting (motors, PLCs, conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical wiring, welding, and bearing replacements). As a Maintenance Technician, you will have the opportunity to contribute your skills and background within a collaborative, cross-functional team. You will train on new equipment and aid in the execution of both planned maintenance and predictive maintenance activities.
The first several months of this role are project related with the goal of planning and developing the department as the Williamsburg Township facility approaches operational startup. This position will require travel up to 50% for training purposes to other Nestle Purina factory locations within the U.S. There will be little to no travel required once the facility is operational. This position will start out working a Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm schedule. Once the Williamsburg Township plant reaches operation, the shift will switch to nights (6PM-6AM), operating on 2-2-3 schedule (week one: two days on, two days off, three days on; week two: two days off, two days on, three days off).
The starting pay for this position is $35.00/hr. with a strategic Maintenance Progression Plan that provides for increasing wages up to $39.00/hr., based on knowledge/skill demonstration, technical assessments and performance reviews. Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for following all plant safety rules and work rules. Your primary responsibility in all of the work you perform is to be safe.
Execute Planned Maintenance (PM) activities to proactively prevent failures and promote safe and efficient operations.
Create, revise and improve parts kits working with salary planner/scheduler to build part kits into SAP.
Work to reduce unplanned stoppages through effective root cause analysis.
Provide on-shift electrical and mechanical troubleshooting support to identify and repair technical breakdowns
Support a positive and collaborative culture with the expectation that Zero Safety Incidents, Zero Quality Defects, and Zero Preventable Stoppages is achievable.
Utilize our SAP system to properly log maintenance related information including work time, parts issuing, failure logs, and work order notes.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent
2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment
Other
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% for training purposes until factory operational startup and/or you are fully qualified in your role. There will be little to no travel required once the Williamsburg Township facility is operational.
