• UPMC Susquehanna Maintenance & Facilities is hiring a Journeyman 1 - Electrician. Position is Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm with a weekend and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for the safe operation and maintenance of the hospital's electrical systems and equipment including generators, fire alarm, overhead paging system and nurse call.

• Inspect and test lighting, signal communication, control and power circuits and equipment.

• Install new wiring and electrical machinery.

• Isolate and repair/replace defective wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment.

• Maintain clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas.

• Operate and maintain switchgear and electrical machinery.

• Perform all work following infection control procedures.

• Record personal work orders and submit hours to supervisor in a daily basis.

• Repair and/or install conduit, fittings, motors, generators transformers, electrical wiring and a variety of appliances and hospital equipment.

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Trade school or trade specific multi-discipline certificate required.

• 2 years of experience as an Electrician working in a healthcare or commercial building environment.

• Military experience considered.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• Driver's License
