Finance Manager, Reporting and Data Governance

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager, Reporting and Data Governance with a strong focus on data governance to drive our reporting capabilities. This pivotal role involves overseeing the development and delivery of comprehensive financial reports, guiding strategic decision-making processes, and leading initiatives to improve financial reporting efficiency and accuracy. The candidate will need advanced skills in financial systems like Oracle EPM, Oracle Analytics, and Power BI, coupled with a robust understanding of data governance principles and practices.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and refinement of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, to provide critical financial insights to the CFO and senior management, ensuring alignment with data governance standards and practices.

  • Master the use of Oracle EPM, specifically EPBCS and FCCS, and Oracle Analytics for financial data consolidation, ensuring stringent accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.

  • Design and oversee advanced financial models and forecasts in Power BI, or other appropriate tools, offering deep analytical insights to steer the company’s strategic planning.

  • Spearhead the enhancement of financial reporting processes through automation, emphasizing data governance and process reengineering.

  • Design and implement robust data governance frameworks to enhance the accuracy and reliability of financial data.

  • Partner with senior management across departments to align financial reporting and analysis with strategic objectives, enhancing decision-making processes.

  • Collaborate with IT and data management teams to establish data governance protocols, including data quality, metadata management, and data lineage.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial reporting and analysis, with a proven track record in a managerial role.

  • Expert proficiency in Oracle EPM, Oracle Analytics, and Power BI.

  • Comprehensive understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and advanced financial analysis techniques.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.

  • Strong leadership and communication abilities, with experience in managing teams and presenting financial data to senior stakeholders.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other financial reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA, MBA, or other advanced financial certification.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in financial reporting and data governance.

  • Familiarity with the industry of the hiring company.
