Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team. You will be responsible for installing wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists, and stud work. Additionally, you will design and install cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall, and insulation.

Responsibilities

  • Install wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists, and stud work.

  • Design and install cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall, and insulation.

  • Add fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges, and closures.

  • Select lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood to fit the customer's budget and style.

  • Calculate the number of fasteners required for each job.

  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other construction professionals.

  • Read blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects, and building code officials.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).

  • Time management skills.

  • Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.

  • Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required to complete all scopes of construction and landscaping contracts.

  • Valid Driver’s License.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Work well with others.

  • Experience in framing, carpentry, and using both hand and power tools.

Work Environment

You will be working outside for residential customers. This role includes customer-facing interactions and tasks such as working on pergolas, pool houses, pools, and finishing basements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00
