Trinity Health Certified Medical Assistant - Family Practice in Wilmington, Delaware

Description:

We are looking for an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our Family Practice in Delaware!

The major responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Candidate will assist in direct patient care under supervision of physician.

  • Assist physician during all exams and office procedures.

  • Accurately obtain patient vitals, perform EKGs, and document pertinent medical history. Prepare/process/log all specimens for routing to appropriate lab.

  • Responsible for daily maintenance of test results, quality control, and sample medication logs.

  • Maintain and manage the use of all clinical equipment.

  • Prepare instruments for transfer to sterile processing department.

  • Maintain clinical supply inventory.

  • Knowledge of Saint Francis clinical policies and procedures as well as OSHA, HAZMAT, and Joint Commission safety and quality standards.

  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Administrative responsibilities include but are not limited to appointment scheduling, answering phones, completing prescription requests, assist with authorizations/referrals when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications (Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification/Skills ) :

  • Medical Assistant Certification from one of the following organizations: AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA, or NAHP

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

  • 1+ year of previous Medical Assistant experience in a Physician's office (preferred)
