Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical proposal efforts for renewable energy project development

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to complete all aspects of environmental impact analysis and permitting and engineering studies, including power siting board applications, and associated multiple support studies

  • Must have the ability to multi-task among several projects at one time

  • Serve as senior reviewer for technical reports such as habitat assessments, special status species surveys, and wetland delineations

  • Support waters of the U.S/wetland permitting and coordination with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

  • Set and maintain project schedule to complete required tasks by established due dates to support overall development activities

  • Ownership and responsibility for timely completion of all project development activities assigned by the business unit managers and development manager to complete necessary tasks on schedule and within budget

  • Oversee all aspects of a project including scope, schedule, budget, technical resources, and communications

  • Coordinate and manage field crews and sub-contractors

  • Work with owners, regulators, design teams, contractors, and sub-contractors to achieve project goals

  • Create change orders for additional or out-of-scope work

  • Communicate with clients and internal management regarding project status

  • Help build new client relationships

  • Learn, understand, and apply changes in policy, legislation, regulations, and new technologies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or ecological engineering; environmental science, natural resources, or related field; Environmental Science or related degree preferred

  • 5 -10 years of increasing responsibility in Project Management, preferably in the renewable energy industry

  • Demonstrated experience with environmental resource studies, impact analysis, and permitting

  • Works effectively to deadlines with minimum supervision; strong problem-solving skills; collaborates well with colleagues regionally and globally

  • The ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients
