We currently have an opportunity for a Claims Assistant . The selected employee will be responsible for assisting Specialty Senior Claim Specialists, Claim Specialists, and Director, Specialty Claims, with the servicing of Hub client accounts in accordance with the practices, policies and procedures of the Company.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and report new claims.

  • Enter data as required in Hub automation systems.

  • Provide support to Specialty Claims team on complicated matters including special projects.

  • Handle correspondence and the administrative processing of Specialty claims and occasional P&C/other claims, including claim reporting forms/emails, system file maintenance, and claim status updates requested by the Specialty Claims team.

  • Provide Specialty Claims team with support on the telephones.

  • Assist Specialty Claims team with follow up investigation and resolution of claims.

  • Perform all duties necessary to support the overall department objective of advocating for our clients in the claim handling process.

  • Responsible for developing complete familiarity with forms, documents, paperwork, and systems supporting Hub Specialty Claims, including their intent and purpose.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Director, Specialty Claims.

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred, insurance designations, and/or related experience with commercial insurance, preferably Specialty/Financial Professional lines of coverage.

  • Excellent customer servicing skills.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Team player who works well with others, and assists/supports both the Specialty Claims team and Hub successfully mitigate the overall risk/exposure of Hub clients.

Department Account Management & Service

Required Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience

Required Travel: No Travel Required

Required Education: High school or equivalent
