Position Overview: Our role of Training and Development Manager will be responsible for the effective development, coordination, and presentation of training programs for plant personnel. Training programs include, but not limited to, employee on-boarding, safety, human resources, manufacturing methods, quality control and supervisory development. The role of Training & Development Manager will be responsible for the effective development, coordination and conduct of training, individual and team performance processes for the plant. Training programs include, job instruction, manufacturing methods, process control, manage training systems and supervisory development. Line performance processes include stability management systems, problem solving and team coaching around reducing process performance issues. Position is also responsible for plant leader-development strategy deployment. Responsibilities include but may not be limited to: Support training & OP strategies for the plant. Supervise process technicians and collaborate with production personnel to evaluate priority process procedures for SOP writing, training planning and execution of certification training. Create and Maintain Training Documentation including Standard Operator Procedures, Job Instructional Breakdowns, training matrices, training documents and other operation documentation. Coach and support line stabilization people processes including daily huddle meetings, use of SMS and Factorygram, problem-solving techniques. Facilitate and present training programs, coordinate logistical planning for training including communications, meeting spaces, equipment, food reqs. Evaluate training outcomes and measure results with leaders. Lead efforts with supervisors, leads, others to ensure that follow-on audits of correct procedural alignment occur. Build relationships with plant staff and team members. Conduct training for production coordinators in four-step method. Conduct audits for operator certification training. Compliance Training Strong sense of job ownership/accountability with effective verbal and written communication skills Must be flexible and able to work overtime and weekends when required Must be at least 18 years or older Competencies and Skills: Bachelor?s degree preferred. Management and leadership abilities to influence others, plan initiatives, coordinate execution and measure results. Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills to various levels of management. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in dynamic fast-paced environments. Working knowledge of Training within Industry (TWI) skills training system or equivalent & adult instructional/learning methods. Knowledge of process improvement approaches and tools is a plus. Well-organized in personal work planning, scheduling of work tasks and efficient outputs. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, stand; reach with hands and arms; stoop kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear 8-9 hours per day; Us keyboard, mouse, visually see, and look at computer monitors up to 8-9 hours per day
