Job Title: Electrical Equipment Tester

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Equipment Tester with experience in the electrical field, particularly in panel building and testing of electrical equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing 600-volt battery backup enclosures to ensure functionality and durability, and to troubleshoot any issues that arise. This position is scheduled to work through the end of February 2025, with a strong possibility of extension. Candidates with PLC and automation skills may have the opportunity to transition into a Level 2 role involving editing, modification, and schematic design.

Responsibilities

• Build electrical panels and set up electrical testing equipment.

• Test 600-volt batteries for functionality and durability.

• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during testing.

• Work under the oversight of Lead Controls Technicians and Engineers.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics.

• Perform PLC editing and modifications, if experienced.

• Contribute to panel design when applicable.

Essential Skills

• Experience in building electrical panels.

• Knowledge of electrical and electronic controls.

• Ability to work with 600-volt battery systems.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in the electrical field, particularly in panel building and testing of electrical equipment.

• Experience with schematic design and interpretation.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication skills for effective documentation and reporting.

Work Environment

The position offers a Monday to Friday work schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with opportunities for overtime. The role is based in a new facility equipped with a gym, promoting a great culture and a clean work environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00
