ManpowerGroup Facilities Technician in Wilsonville, Oregon

Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Facilities Technician, you will be part of the Facilities Department supporting maintenance activities associated with material handling equipment and industrial batteries. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a passion for safety.

Job Title: Facilities Technician

Location: Wilsonville, OR

Pay Range: $20.88 per hour

What's the Job?

  • Perform preventive maintenance on material handling equipment fleet

  • Learn to perform and maintain power material handling equipment, including checking, draining, and filling oil levels, adjusting or replacing all belts and chains, troubleshooting electrical controls issues, replacing motors and controls, and performing safety checks

  • Learn/gain knowledge of hydraulic systems/schematics/components, electrical systems/schematics, drive motors, power amps, electrical controls including PLC systems, mechanical systems including transmissions, drive units, differentials, braking systems, telescopic masts, reach mechanisms, and steering systems

  • Complete all special projects associated with buildings or grounds, as requested, including moving furniture or fixtures, changing lights, light carpentry, painting, light plumbing, changing of light bulbs, and repair of minor electrical devices

  • Battery maintenance duties, including battery charger repairs, battery changes for MHE, repair of plugs and tips of batteries and chargers, watering and washing batteries, acid spill clean up, battery rack cleaning, battery area sweeping and cleaning, setting equalizing charge on batteries

What's Needed?

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); Tech school or equivalent is preferred (2 years)

  • Two years in an MHE maintenance position preferred (No experience required)

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

  • Must possess a valid state Driver's License and provide proof of liability coverage meeting Company standards
