Catalent’s Winchester location is the flagship US manufacturing location for large scale oral dose forms, with integrated analytical and development services. With 28 years of expertise in product development, technology transfers and commercial manufacturing, and roots in industry-leading Glatt technology.

The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating all project related activities for the technical transfer of products to the Winchester, KY manufacturing site. Communicates and interacts with customers, planner/buyers, project team members, key Winchester stakeholders and other Catalent sites to ensure each project achieves the established goals. The Project Manager must be able to work independently, under-pressure, and be adept at multi-tasking. A high sense of urgency, attention to detail, and result orientation is required. Must have strong customer service skills and experience. Knowledge of solid dose pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and pharmaceutical product planning skills is preferred.

The Role

  • Manage all activities related to the technical transfer of projects including:

  • development of project timeline

  • facilitating the transfer of project information

  • ensuring that project quotes are within scope and up to date

  • pending customers requirements and needs coordinate technical service offerings with other Catalent sites

  • coordinating and leading customer meetings/teleconferences (agenda, meeting minutes, documentation…)

  • timely billing of customer through JDE system for work completed

  • Manage NPIx process for assigned projects

  • Accurately manage revenue forecasting for assigned projects

  • Provide professional customer service (including monitoring of customers in the plant to ensure personal safety and confidentiality)

  • Communicate and coordinate clearly/extensively with customer and other departments to achieve project goals

  • Collaborate as necessary with other Catalent sites to assure the established project timelines and deliverables are progressing per agreement

  • Other duties as assigned.

The Candidate

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree (Science/Pharmaceutical) required with 5+ years of hands on experience with product/process development and/or project management in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare industry

  • Master’s Degree (Science/Pharmaceutical) with 3+ years of hands on experience with product/process development and/or project management in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare industry

  • Doctorate Degree (Science/Pharmaceutical) with 1+ years of hands on experience with product/process development and/or project management in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare industry

  • PMP certification or equivalent is preferred

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical solid dosage form manufacturing processes, quality testing and analytics, experience with fluid beds, high shear granulation, compression, pan coating and encapsulation processes is preferred.

  • Knowledge of regulatory filings / pharmaceutical regulatory environment is preferred.

  • Strong project management skills supporting technical customers

  • Demonstrated passion for excellence and continuous improvement

  • Leadership qualities including the soft skills needed to build collaboration and cross functional teamwork across the organization

  • Strong customer service orientation

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Project budgeting and financial impact experience

  • Individual may be required sit for extended periods. Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen frequently.
