Job Description Inventory Analyst Lead 212 W 2nd St, Winona, MN 55987 HEADD Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time Inventory Analyst Lead, you will be responsible for the maintenance and management of the item cost structure on the Fastenal financial system and subsystems. You will be responsible for the PeopleSoft (9.2, 9.1 and 7.53) cost accounting systems and will manage a team of individuals within the cost accounting group. This includes all methods of cost accounting; configured, standard and actual. The qualified applicant for this position should be detailed oriented, self-motivated, have excellent analytical capabilities and a strong user of Microsoft Excel. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Managing item cost methods and procedures o Managing and monitoring inventory transactions and problem solving o Reconciling inventory issues with our branch locations and distribution centers o Reconciling inventory accounts and transaction costing to the general ledger o Managing Production PIDS and Routings o Auditing and travel REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o Possess 3 years of experience with Fastenal Cost Accounting, including Standard, Actual and Configured item costs o Excellent oral and written communication skills o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel pivot tables and v-lookups o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Demonstrate strong math aptitude and attention to detail o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented o Lead and motivate a team of employees o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Willingness to travel to perform location audits o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Education or experience in cost accounting, accounting, business analytics, statistics, finance or math related courses o Experience using query tools o Prior work experience in cost accounting ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
