The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and controlling RTP production processes for specified areas. This position must work and promote servicing the customer, operational excellence, product consistency with cost and asset optimization, and safe operations. This position directly supervises Plant Manager, Production Leads and Assistant Leads, and is accountable for the supervision, direction, training, and evaluation of all members of their production team. *Not eligible for work sponsorship. Work Schedule: 2nd Shift Hours 2-11pm; additional hours as needed due to business demand. Responsibilities Supervises assigned (shift/department) plant employees to include coaching and mentoring, performance management and discipline, hiring and terminating, and training. Determines production requirements and ensures processes are efficient and cost controlled. This includes scheduling of production runs and staffing assignments. Aids plant safety and environmental performance by conducting meetings, communicating expectations, along with reporting and investigating incidents. Monitors run rates, changeovers, and line cleans. Pinpoints and troubleshoots process issues and determines appropriate course of action to resolve these issues. Develops/revises operation procedures including testing and running new products and or customer orders. Participates in on-site customer audits, ISO audits, customer trials, and complaint investigations. Ensures quality expectations of customers is met. Coordinate shift maintenance activities and audit equipment checklists. Ensure work orders are entered for scheduling. Schedule line downtime for proactive maintenance Performs other duties as assigned.
