Millerbernd Manufacturing Co. Account Manager - Pole Business Unit (onsite) in Winsted, Minnesota

NOW HIRING: Millerbernd Manufacturing is hiring a Pole Account Manager who is responsible to generates sales within the assigned customer base to achieve volume and profitability growth objectives. Conducts business following company practices & policies to promote Millerbernd’s public image. This is an onsite role based in Winsted, Minnesota.

As a Pole Account Manager, you will:

  • Executes a plan to achieve targeted revenue volume, ensuring all prospects and customers receive the level of attention appropriate to their business potential

  • Regularly monitors progress against the plan and makes modifications, as required, throughout the year

  • Responds promptly to inquiries and seeks out and calls upon customers to identify their needs for products and qualifies leads

  • Builds successful relationships with key decision makers and influencers in existing and prospective customers

  • Generates proposals/quotations in accordance with standard procedures and pricing guidelines

  • Ensures proposals meet customer needs and clearly presents Millerbernd’s value

  • Monitors and responds to competitor activities at prospects, and provides timely reporting on competitive activity to sales management

  • Partners with appropriate company departments, such as Engineering and Quality, to ensure corrective action on customer complaints or non-conforming materials

  • Assists finance in the collection of delinquent accounts

  • Works with engineering to ensure product design meets customer expectations. (i.e. reliability, aesthetics, customer requirements, regulatory requirements etc.) Establishes effective communication network between customer and company concerning forecast and purchase order requirements

  • Will enter in PO orders and manage order status, either as a backup or for own portfolio of accounts

  • Works with the Operations Team to manage customer delivery schedule requests and changes

  • Communicates with customers on a reoccurring basis regarding current order status

    Role Qualifications as a Pole Account Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 2+ years of sales experience in an OEM heavy-duty industry environment. Other combinations of formal training and experience may be considered.

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time throughout the US and Canada

  • Use effective and appropriate written and verbal communication skills including giving presentations and leading meetings

  • Computer literate, particularly using Excel and other MS Office applications

  • Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills, including ability to resolve disputes and observe confidentiality

  • Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and methods
