ROLE SUMMARY

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

The DirectorRoute-to-Market Projectis responsible for coordinating the implementation of the wholesale route-to-market project. The role works cross-functionally to ensure the project completed time and in full while ensuring customer and company needs are met. Key accountabilities include overall project leadership, leading internal collaborator engagements, ensuring project governance and cross-functional collaboration, project planning, budgeting, organizational change, and communications. The role often engages with multiple internal teams and wholesale customers to ensure alignment of objectives and project execution.

This position requires extensive knowledge of industry trends, a strong understanding of Reynolds Marketing Services Company (RMSC) strategic plans/initiatives, and a proficient understanding of wholesale and supply chain strategies. The role requires strong leadership, project management skills, problem-solving skills, relationship management capabilities, and managerial skills to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Leads strategy development and oversees implementation of wholesale route-to-market plan and associated initiatives.

  • Oversees internal and external collaborator engagements including Steering Committee and Reynolds Leadership Team briefings.

  • Leads all aspects of project planning, budget management, and risk assessment and mitigation.

  • Ensures effective tracking, monitoring, and reporting of progress and outcomes.

  • Leads organizational change and communication strategy and execution for project.

  • Evaluates project performance and effectiveness for future development.

  • Ensures project governance and adherence to company policies.

  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with internal partners and wholesale customers.

  • Collaborates with Trade Marketing, Operations, DBS, and Finance teams to align capabilities for project execution.

  • Effectively lead, mentor and delegate accountability to Senior Manager Route-to-Market.

  • Responsible for understanding and influencing current and future regulatory and legislative guidelines.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

ESSENTIAL

Experience Required

  • 5 – 7 validated experience in project management, including leading cross-functional teams in delivering projects or programs.

  • 3 – 5 years of experience working with key strategic partners.

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

  • Self-starter who works well independently & collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team.

  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation skills; able to process and present sophisticated information in simple and digestible formats. Must be able to customize and adapt presentation based on audience.

  • Must be able to navigate a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.

  • Highly developed curiosity to drive innovation and transformation.

  • Problem solver with strong inter-personal skills; natural ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders at various levels within an organization.

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

  • BA/BS degree required

  • MBA or equivalent experience preferred

  • Prince 2 Agile or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

BENEFICIAL

  • Experience in consumer-packaged goods, especially tobacco, and/or other regulated industries, is strongly preferred.

  • Wholesale or supply chain experience is a plus.
