Our client, in the Winston-Salem, NC area is seeking aMachinis to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience with blueprints, operating the forklift and power tools which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machinist

Location: Winston-Salem, NC

Pay Range: $18

What’s the Job?

• Performing progressive machining, floor erecting, and assembly operations on complicated apparatus, equipment, or experimental and development work, which requires very close tolerances or unusual operational requirements

• Performing various set-ups and operating a variety of production machines, spot welders, riveting machines, lathes, milling machines, punch presses, grinders, saws, drill presses, sand blasters, belt sander, parts washer, hydraulic presses and various hand and power tools.

• Operating machines and/or setting up for other operators

• Checking accuracy of a set up against detailed specifications

• Working from blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings

What’s Needed?

• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings

• Ability to use hand- and air-powered tools and wrenches

• Above average math skills, including the ability to work with decimals and fractions

• Machine shop training
