Develop designs for automotive door latching systems and sub-components; ensure product design adheres to mechanical engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements, and related specifications; manage activities related to technical developments, scheduling, and resolution of engineering design and test issues; convert customer requirements into design concepts using CATIA V5; outline customer-specific product strategies; stay updated on market developments; actively participate in DFMEA, DFM, and other engineering meetings; conduct tolerance stack-ups and GD&T reviews with suppliers and customers; update and approve CAD files and drawings following engineering directions; establish and monitor project timelines; and oversee the release of products for production; execute and deliver technical presentations.
