Fairview Health Services Mammography Technologist in Woodbury, Minnesota

Overview

We have an immediate opening for a Mammography Technologist at our Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, MN. .This is a casual position that will help with the needs of the department.

The Technologist position provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of diagnostic images appropriate to the age of the patient. Responsible for meeting the established standards of practice and patient care, supplies and equipment and for coordinating teamwork with all of the members of the health care team.

Responsibilities Job Description

Prioritize work to achieve optimal patient outcomes

  • Determines and revises priorities for diagnostic testing

  • Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs

  • Communicates effectively with all members of the health care team

Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures

  • Adheres to radiologic diagnostic testing procedures

  • Documents compliance with regulatory agency requirement

  • Follows infection control guidelines

  • Adheres to safety protocols

  • Ensures imaging procedures meet all standards and protocols

  • Serves as a resource for other healthcare team members

  • Responds appropriately to emergent situations

Evaluates imagine results for diagnostic quality

  • Assesses the validity of the test results to determine if consistent with changing physiological conditions or if due to possible interfering substances

  • Acts as a resource for problem-solving resolution

Demonstrating ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural difference of population served

Qualifications

Required:

Education

· Associates Degree

Experience

· Digital mammography

License/Certification/Registration

· ARRT (R) (M)
