Overview

Provides pharmacy services to the patient, physician and hospital staff. Assures the timely and accurate filling of prescriptions and orders. Provides information and/or consultation to the patient and other health care professionals in the accurate use of those medications and supplies.

This is a casual Pharmacist position at Woodwinds Hospital.

Responsibilities Job Description

Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.

Actively participates in crafting and implementing improvements.

Performs distributive, order entry/verification, and clinical duties as the need arises by the patient care team in a safe and timely manner.

Understands, demonstrates proficiency of, and follows through with HealthEast established procedures and guidelines for the provision of clinical pharmacy services.

Performs medication dispensing responsibilities.

Provides drug education to physicians, nurses, pharmacy staff, pharmacy students, other hospital staff, and patients to enhance drug knowledge and promote rational drug therapy.

Performs precepting and teaching duties for pharmacy students and residents.

Supervises technicians, pharmacy students, clerical staff, and volunteers.

Serves on physician and hospital committees as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience:

• 1 year experience required. ASHP accredited residency or equivalent experience in hospital pharmacy preferred. 1 to 3 years preferred.

Education :

• Bachelor's Degree

Credentials:

• Pharmacist License with MNBoP

Preferred :

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy
