BMW Of North America Product & Service Development Engineer I - Head Unit in WOODCLIFF LAKE, New Jersey

As the Product & Service Development Engineer I - Head Unit, you execute US-specific validation of head unit features across multiple BMW Group projects. You identify, communicate, and prioritize top issues to project management and functional owners in BMW AG. You synchronize and agree on resolution implementation according to project milestones to ensure product quality. You conduct market and customer research, competitor benchmarking, and BMW Group product evaluations. You perform validation activities for assigned areas including local, weekend, and overnight test drive events with engineering colleagues and process partners. You participate in multi-day overnight (long and short distance) and weekend test drive activities with multiple test vehicles and engineers from the Woodcliff Lake, Spartanburg, Oxnard, and Munich locations. You review and execute assigned test cases and report results to development partners in Munich. You update and maintain development hardware by installing hardware as well as updating software with BMW-specific tools. You develop high level of familiarity with relevant projects and features and support in the documentation of project information on available platforms (such as Confluence, Teams, or other shared project spaces) and be able to locate information. You create meeting notes, status reports, defect statistics, etc.

The pay range for this role is: $74,831.00 - $87,642.00.

The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
Valid US driver's license.
Available for overnight business travel.

Preferences:
Preferred 1-2 years in engineering field.
Preferred experience working in BMW development.
BMW B1, B2, and E1 license.
