Kelly Services Maintenance Mechanic Technician in Woodland, California

Kelly is hiring for a key position as Maintenance Mechanic Technician for a premier manufacturing specializing in PVC Conduit products for electrical, telecommunications, and utility makers.

Pay: $28/hr - $38/hr DOE

Scheduled Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Top Required Skillsets/Experience:

  • Gearboxes/Machine Motors: Experience with mechanical systems and troubleshooting.

  • Extruding Screws: Familiarity with machines using long metal screws for material processing.

  • Heating Machinery: Experience with equipment that heats materials for plastic manufacturing.

  • PLCs/480v Electrical Components: Knowledge in handling high-voltage electrical components and programmable logic controllers.

  • Silos/Feeding Units: Understanding of maintenance and operation of silos and hoppers.

  • Robotic Machinery: Experience with robots used in manufacturing to handle pipes and other products.

  • Industrial Water Pumps: Maintenance of water transport systems used in manufacturing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain mechanical and electrical plant equipment.

  • Assist with troubleshooting electro-mechanical issues.

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery.

  • Respond to emergency maintenance needs to prevent production delays.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

  • Manage spare parts inventory and report needs.

  • Install and repair PLC units, and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.

  • Calibrate electrical test equipment and troubleshoot electrical systems.

  • Participate in emergency on-call duties as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must work safely with machinery and coworkers.

  • Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods.

  • Able to climb ladders and work at heights, especially with silos and blend towers.

  • Must speak and understand English for safety communication.

  • Must tolerate various plant-related noise and weather conditions.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Electrical and mechanical aptitude to diagnose and repair manufacturing machinery.

  • Welding proficiency preferred.

  • Forklift operation and general building maintenance experience beneficial.
