VCA Animal Hospitals Oncology Credentialed Veterinary Technician in Woodland Hills, California

We are seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team at VCA Veterinary Specialists of the Valley (http://vcahospitals.com/veterinary-specialists-valley)

You will be working alongside our board certified Oncologist with the opportunity to learn and grow from a multitude of specialty doctors and staff. Job Description: We are seeking dedicated Registered Veterinary Technicians to join our dynamic team. As a Registered Veterinary Technician you will play a vital role in delivering top-tier veterinary care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing compassionate and skilled nursing care to critically ill and injured animals.

  • Assisting veterinarians with medical procedures, including triage, diagnostics, and treatments.

  • Monitoring patients' vital signs and responding promptly to changes in condition.

  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.

  • Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols.

  • Collaborating with other members of the veterinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification required.

  • 2-3 years of experience working as a veterinary technician.

  • Proficiency in performing nursing procedures, such as venipuncture, catheterization, and anesthesia monitoring.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Commitment to providing excellent patient care and client service.

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation: $ 26 - $ 35
