As a Graphic Design Intern within the Marketing Communications Department (MARCOM) you will work closely with our design team to create engaging visual content for various print and graphics projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in a real-world setting, providing invaluable growth and skill development.

Essential Functions:

Collaborate with the design team to create compelling visual assets for digital and print media, including social media graphics, flyers, and brochures.

Contribute to the conceptualization and execution of layouts for technical or marketing materials, leveraging electronic publishing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.

Assist in refining and adapting graphic elements to align with design standards, ensuring cohesive and visually engaging layouts.

Gain experience in working across various media formats, including photography and vector illustrations, to enhance creative flexibility and versatility.

Assist in converting and optimizing digital assets for commercial printing, ensuring they meet industry standards and are compatible with printing processes.

Collaborate between MARCOM and individual marketing departments to cultivate a synergistic approach to project development. Provide support for MARCOM initiatives as directed by management, offering flexible assistance across various projects.

Contribute creative insights and ideas to brainstorming sessions, enriching the conceptualization phase of design projects.

Contribute to streamlining design workflows and procedures, pinpointing areas for increased efficiency and introducing effective solutions. Maintain organized files and folders for design assets to ensure accessibility for all graphic resources.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and Training

A current student or recent graduate from a Graphic Design related program is required.

A minimum of a 3.0/4.0 grade point average (GPA) is required.

Minimum Qualifications

A solid understanding of design principles such as composition, typography, and color theory.

Strong creative and conceptual skills with a keen eye for detail.

Ability to collaborate with others and effectively communicate.

Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
