Ametek Inc. Winding Assembler Level 1 in Woodstock, New York

Position Summary:

Perform duties to manufacture high quality stator winding assemblies to be used in high performance fans, blowers, and cooling systems .

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret assembly drawings and work station instructions
  • Complete all in process inspection requirements
  • Inspect parts for non-conformities (defect recognition skills)
  • Perform the following tasks: Coil wind, Insulate, Sew, Attach/position, Insert, Motor wind, In process inspection, In process test, Mask, Clean, and Unmask Stator assemblies .
  • Maintain high quality.
  • Meet company output expectations.
  • Effectively manage your time
  • Adhere to all of AMETEK's policies as called out in employee handbook
  • Train employees in areas of proficiency as needed .
  • Perform other related tasks as required


Required Qualifications / Education /Experience:
  • Ability to read and comprehend assembly drawings and work station instructions
  • Ability to build all assemblies according to technical drawings and process.
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Good hand eye coordination (Dexterity)
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while seated for extended periods of time
  • Good work ethic and time management skills.
  • Ability to use hand tools, and mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to work on very fine wires without error


Physical Requirements:
  • Good dexterity (hand eye coordination)
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Able to lift 30 lbs


Compensation

Salary Minimum: $30, 000

Salary Maximum: $40, 000
