Job Description Summary

The Workday Integration Specialist serves as the liaison between Workday technical functionality and multiple business units to provide implementation and production support, including Human Capital Management (HCM), Absence Management, Benefits, Payroll, and other modules. This role also supports the development and integration of Workday to other internal applications.

Global Technology Services (GTS) is Aegon's global IT partner that provides infrastructure services, information security and global/corporate application support for Aegon's businesses around the world.

From 6 locations in the US, the Netherlands, UK, and Hungary, we support 20+ country units and 24000+ employees in the world. Our support consists of a wide range of centralized global IT services such as programming, database management, project management, agile/dev/ops, and more.

All of these teams work closely together to provide innovative and digital solutions as well as critical technology support. This is essential for enabling Aegon's businesses around the globe to be innovative, digital and competitive, efficient, and effective, and to provide the best solutions and customer experience for our customers and shareholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in all stages of the Workday project lifecycle, from planning and design phases, through testing and deployment.

  • Create new inbound and outbound integrations in Workday for HCM, Absence Management, Benefits, Payroll, and other modules.

  • Work with IT group on integrations and web service calls from other internal systems to Workday.

  • Use various development tools and integration products, such as Workday EIBS, Studio, Cloud Connect, etc.

  • Support and enhance current integrations to ensure they are built properly.

  • Schedule integrations and monitor to ensure they run when scheduled.

  • Monitor integration error logs to ensure processes are working properly.

  • Provide production support for integration and reporting issues.

  • Gather and analyze integration issues to outline trends. Create action plans to resolve issues and communicate to management.

  • Create and maintain complex calculated fields in Workday.

  • Test new system features and feature releases; evaluate the impact to integrations and reports.

  • Work with HR, Benefits, Payroll, etc. to identify new opportunities to enhance functionality or improve process efficiency.

  • Act as subject matter expert on integrations, data loads (EIBS).

  • Develop, review, and update system documents for integrations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 3- 5 years of technical experience developing and supporting Application Platform Integration (API) connectivity and multi-platform integrations using web services (SOAP and REST), XML, JSON, XSLT and experience with Java or similar programming languages.

  • Experience managing technical projects in a complex environment.

  • Advanced understanding of software development.

  • Problem solving skills to investigate/analyze elevated complex production issues.

  • Ability to work independently, proactively manage own tasks, milestones, and deadlines.

  • Attention to detail and results oriented, with a strong customer focus.

  • Desire to learn new tools, techniques, concepts, and methodologies.

  • Excellent time-management and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday integration developer experience including Core Connectors, EIBs, Workday Studio and BIRT Layout .

  • Workday Custom Report Writer experience.

  • Understanding of Workday Business Process concepts and Securit y.

  • Experience working for a global company supporting multiple countries.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office Environment.

  • Minimal travel (less than 10%).

  • May be required to work outside normal business hours due to special projects or on-call situations.

Compensation:

The US salary for this position generally ranges between $78,400 - $107,800 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.

Additionally in the US, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
