Robert Half Accounting Specialist in Wyoming, Michigan

Description We are searching for an Accounting Specialist to join our team i, Michigan. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, where you will manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and provide backup support for payroll processing.

Responsibilities: • Generate and dispatch invoices to clients promptly and manage outstanding receivables. • Resolve billing discrepancies and maintain accurate records of client payments. • Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and maintain vendor relationships. • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies. • Assist with payroll processing and ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll transactions. • Prepare payroll reports and assist with payroll tax filings as needed. • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. • Reconcile financial data and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy of financial reports. • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations. • Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for all financial transactions. • Provide support for audits and supply necessary documentation and support. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for managing data and performing calculations.

• Demonstrated experience in general accounting functions, including financial reporting and budgeting.

• Prior experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.

• A strong understanding of billing functions is needed to manage invoicing and payment processing.

• Experience in check processing is essential for managing payments and transactions.

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required for accurate financial reporting.

• Excellent communication skills are needed to explain complex financial information to non-financial team members.

• Must possess strong organizational skills to manage large amounts of financial data.

• Knowledge of industry-specific wholesale distribution accounting practices would be advantageous.
