Job Title: Blow Mold Operator

Job Description

Raw material in granular form enters the hopper through a feed barrel. The hopper then melts the plastic, and a melted tube is extruded from the machine and cut with a hot blade. It is then captured by a water-cooled mold, and a blowing nozzle is inserted into the top of the plastic tube. Pressurized air is blown in, forcing the plastic to take on the shape of the mold. The container is then cooled and transferred to another machine that removes the excess plastic, which is melted down and reused. The company prides itself on being a no-waste facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Make adjustments to machinery, troubleshoot issues, and repair if able (call maintenance if not able)

• Follow all company GMP for quality

• Assist with mold changes and machine setups

• Perform quality checks to ensure the product is within parameters (visual and measurements)

• Assist other operators and maintenance with mechanical issues

• Maintain a clean workstation

• Complete documentation as needed (paper and computer)

These candidates will work a rotating 12 hour shift, 2,3,2

7:00 AM-7:30 pm

7:30 PM - 7:00 AM
