Ministry Support (Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries) Lead Clinician (Immigrant and Refugee Services) in York, Pennsylvania

Category/Shift/Hours per 2 week pay period:  Full-Time / Varied Shift / 80 hours per pay period

General Responsibilities:

  • As the Unaccompanied Children (UC) Foster Care Lead Clinician, you will be responsible for supporting and ensuring the comprehensive service delivery of clinical services in a foster care program.
  • The Lead Clinician will offer consultation and trauma-informed expertise to program staff and stakeholders to promote stable foster placements and provide clinical feedback.
  • Additionally, the Lead Clinician will conduct trainings during the onboarding process for new staff and continually, as needed. This role includes direct supervision of clinicians.
  • Childline & DHS FBI clearance results are required prior to beginning employment.
  • Mandatory Covid-19 Vaccination Program-need covid vaccine card or file for an exemption.

Education/Training: Master's degree in Social Work and 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience or; Master's degree or Ph.D. in psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which clinical experience is a program requirement, and 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience or; Bachelor's degree and 5 years clinical employment experience in the behavioral sciences may be accepted AND; Licensure to provide clinical services or eligible to obtain professional licensure or registration, if applicable.

 

Experience: Two or more years of supervisory experience in direct service delivery with the ability to effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities; Prior experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations, preferred. Bi-lingual English and Spanish strongly preferred.

 

ADA: Regularly required to talk and/or hear individuals who do not speak English as their primary language; occasionally required to stand, walk, or sit; use finger dexterity, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally required to move or lift items up to 25 pounds in weight; primarily office based, but regularly required to travel to other offices, home visits, and other external parties.
