Industrial Maintenance Technicians (2nd or 3rd Shift) - Youngstown, OH - JOB 24-00684 Hourly Range: $26.00 - $28.00/HR Permanent Position with Benefits Multiple openings 2nd and 3rd shift $1000 Sign-on bonus!--We are looking for experienced technicians--We have opportunities that can pay up to $56,000+/year depending on experience, AND this does not even include overtime opportunities where you can earn much more! Responsibilities: • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Makes repairs as needed. • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels,plumb bobs, and straightedges. • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. • Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. • Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. • Able to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot 110 VAC, 240/480 VAC 3 phase. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Requirements: • Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends. • Must have basic math and communication skills and knowledge to accomplish required paperwork, and read technical manuals, instructions, safety and warning signs, etc. • Must have knowledge and ability to safely and proficiently use a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment. • Should be skilled at operating welding/ brazing equipment, lathes, milling machines and other shop equipment. • Must have ability to routinely and frequently stoop, bend, reach, climb ladder/ scaffolds, often required to work in tight, cramped spaces. • Must have good hand-eye coordination and possess motor skills enabling mobility and quick reflexes, as well as dexterity in ceiling height areas. • Must have visual/hearing ability sufficient to recognize or detect equipment malfunctions and warning devices/ signs.
