YOUNGSTOWN STATE UNIVERSITY (OH) Established Date: May 13, 2024 Revision Date: May 13, 2024 SALARY RANGE $44,443.00 - $53,000.00 Annually SUMMARY OF POSITION: Teaches master level counseling courses, advises students, and engages in professional service contributing to the successful operation of the Counseling Program to develop licensed professional counselors and related professionals who can serve the needs within our community. This type of annual appointment is issued to a faculty member who is responsible for teaching with no expectations for scholarship or research, and minimal expectations for service. POSITION INFORMATION: Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources. Ability to contribute to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the University community through teaching. Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday, including some evenings, and the possibility of some weekend days. QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES: Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: Licensed Pr0fessi0nal C0unsel0r (LPC) in Ohi0 t0 be 0btained and maintained upon hire. Minimum Qualifications: At least an earned doctoral degree in counselor education from a CACREP-accredited program by the time 0f appointment. Eligible for licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Ohio. Documented professional counselor identity by education, experience, and professional affiliations (e.g., Association for Counselor Education and Supervision 0r Chi Sigma I0ta, International Honor Society). Preferred Qualifications: Licensed, or eligibility for licensure, as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Ohio. Evidence 0f contributions t0 scholarship and professional service in counseling. Experience and/0r licensure in more than one counseling program track specialty area.
