YOUNGSTOWN STATE UNIVERSITY (OH) Established Date: May 1, 2024 Revision Date: May 1, 2024 SALARY RANGE $44,500.00 - $48,000.00 Annually SUMMARY OF POSITION: The YSU Department of Psychological Sc1ences & Counseling is seeking a candidate for a full-time faculty Lecturer position in the Psychology Program. This program offers a BA 1n Psychology with over 300 majors. The position is a 9-month, renewable, non-tenure track appointment with the expectation of teaching 15 hours per semester (5 undergraduate level psychology courses) during each Fall and Spring semester. POSITION INFORMATION: Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university off1cials via university provided tools and resources. Ability to contribute to the diversity, cultural sens1tivity, and excellence of the University community through teaching. Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday, includ1ng some evenings, and the possib1lity of some weekend days. QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES: Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: None Minimum Qualifications: At least an earned master's degree in psychology or another related area (e.g. counseling, school psychology). Ability to teach a variety of courses in the program including own specialty area. Prior teaching experience in a variety of modalities and class formats including on-line asynchronous classes. Preferred Qualifications: Earned doctoral degree in psychology or another related area (e.g. counseling, school psychology).
