Robert Half Quality Assurance Specialist in Youngstown, Ohio

Description We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in the steel manufacturing industry located in Youngstown, Ohio. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity where you will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks within our Quality Systems department. Your key responsibilities will include tracking procedure revisions, maintaining vendor records, creating and editing software queries, and assisting with the implementation of ISO systems and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Track and manage revisions of procedures and specifications within the Quality Systems department.

• Maintain accurate records of vendors and product descriptions.

• Generate software and create and edit queries as needed.

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of ISO systems and documentation.

• Utilize Microsoft Office tools, particularly Microsoft Excel, for various administrative tasks.

• Provide clerical support to the department, ensuring deadlines are met.

• Utilize data entry skills to maintain and update various databases.

• File and organize documents related to the Quality Systems department.

• Use basic office skills to perform daily tasks and operations.

• Provide administrative assistance to the Quality System Specialist as needed. Requirements • Possesses basic office skills including organization, time management, and multitasking.

• Demonstrates proficiency in data entry tasks with high attention to detail.

• Has experience in filing, maintaining, and organizing documents and records.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Previous experience in administrative assistance or secretarial roles.

• Ability to provide clerical support to various departments and teams.

• Capable of managing project deadlines efficiently and effectively.

• Knowledge of the steel manufacturing industry is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Proactive, team player with the ability to work independently when required.

• Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability.

• Prior experience in a quality assurance role is preferred.

• Familiarity with quality standards and processes in the steel manufacturing industry.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field is beneficial.
