Maxar is seeking a Senior Release Train Manager to join our team in Herndon, VA to support a customer with a fast-paced and exciting mission.You will serve as a leader for a Software-focused Agile Release Train (ART), facilitating and assisting the teams in delivering value to the business and our Government sponsor. You will have in-depth agile process knowledge in order to coach and mentor both local and remote teams effectively in the implementation of the Scaled Agile Framework.

Project: The Senior Release Train Manager will be a key member of the technical leadership team, working directly with program management and the software development team to support an established and growing Intelligence Community (IC) mission. You will need to quickly understand and assess the programs technical scope and roadmap to effectively lead the team. You will simplify and enable program execution by removing obstacles in work processes and managing risks and dependencies between the teams. You will directly interface with our customer regarding agile performance against our technical requirements and facilitate stakeholder requests as needed.

Your responsibilities:

Plan and Facilitate Program Increment (Release) and Iteration (Sprint) planning to include Backlog Refinement, PI Planning, Retrospectives, Scrum of Scrums, and related ceremonies; Manage and advertise the calendar of ceremonies

Facilitate Lean agile organizational transformation across the organization to build a modern delivery capability; includes setting a vision, aligning necessary resources, and communicating to stakeholders on status/milestones

Organize and Facilitate team training of developers and team members

Incorporate principles of Lean Systems Engineering, Cloud Architectures, DevOps, DevSecOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, and other modern software development approaches to maximize the flow of value through the release train

Analyze and articulate complex subject matter via proposal responses, white papers, and presentations, advocating for lean/agile principles to team members, management, customers, and stakeholders

Produce metrics, including burndown/burnup charts, QA efficacy, feature execution, and overall brain health

Assist with agile integration into the program's cost baseline by facilitating feature and capability estimation with the teams

Recommend and oversee implementation of a comprehensive software Configuration Management (CM) plan and strategy for the program

Work with the team to create and maintain configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.) and a release strategy approach

Minimum Requirements:

Must have a current/active TS/SCI clearance

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, System Engineering, or related field

Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in an agile software development team or delivery orga
