Description

Growing telecom company is looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to add to their team. Experience working in Telecom or grant accounting is strongly preferred. This role requires adept accounting skills and experiences because you'll be responsible for performing various accounting tasks such as reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and fulfilling regulatory reporting requirements. Responsibilities:

Perform reconciliations and intercompany transactions

Generate and execute reporting duties for regulatory purposes

Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements

Ensure accuracy of financial information

Ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles

Support month-end and year-end close processes

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Proven senior accounting experience in a telecom business or with grant accounting is essential

Proficiency in using QuickBooks is preferred

Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles

Excellent knowledge of financial reporting and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Senior Accountant

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Proven experience in General Ledger management and Journal Entries

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience in Month End Close procedures is essential

• Familiarity with QuickBooks and Quickbooks Online is preferred

• Prior experience in the Telecommunications industry is preferred

• Familiarity with Telecommunications is advantageous

• Experience in Grant Accounting and Federal Grant is a plus

• Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
