Construction Project Manager - Position and Responsibilities As an on-site Construction Project Manager (CPM) with Middough, you will be responsible for the planning, estimating, permitting, schedules, budgets, risk analysis, material procurement, arrangements for land, engineering services, and client satisfaction. This position requires being on-site at a client facility in southern Ohio for the project duration of approximately 12+ months. The CPM works with the client's construction management department to ensure all project and safety standards are followed. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Establish the effective scope, schedule and cost baselines and drives change management to measure progress against plans. Identify when corrective action is needed. Develop, review, and approve all project management and internal/external communications. Collaborate between project managers, construction management, engineers, environmental, supply chain, and other project stakeholders. Complete construction project that exceeds customer expectations and meets all established project requirements. Understand and manage project contracts. Anticipate, recognize, and identify key project challenges and problems to establish and direct problem-solving objectives and priorities for resolution. Ensure timely and accurate schedule updates and invoicing. Monitor and communicate progress of projects related to baselined schedule/milestones, forecasted/approved spends, project status updates, material management, and land services requirements. Education, Experience and Skills The successful candidate will possess the following: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction or Project Management preferred. Prior project engineer or manager role experience required. 5+ years of experience in heavy industrial construction -- expertise in electrical or mechanical is preferred. 3+ years working with project budgets and schedules. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients and all levels within the Company and at client site around professionalism, trust, integrity, and collaboration. OSHA 10-hour safety certification. PMP Certification preferred. Knowledge of electric system design and operations including construction and contract management preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products Ability to multi-task and be highly organized for effective project planning and completion. Excellent attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
