Randstad Engineering Solutions is looking for talented RF Systems Engineer to join our growing team. Randstad provides full life cycle services to multiple clients for the development of electronic products across multiple industries. This project is for a global developer and manufacturer of high-quality fire protection, auto dimming mirrors and windows for the automotive, aerospace, and commercial fire protection industries with facilities in the Zeeland, MI area.

Radio Frequency System Engineer

Job Duties -

The Mid level Systems Engineer with apprentice with the Senior Radio Frequency Engineers to learn and ultimately be responsible for system-level design activities for as part of a team for the design, development, and implementation of high performance radios for Sub GHz, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi applications for such product features including: cabin monitoring features such as head and eye detection, drowsiness, distracted driver, presence detection, child detection, video conferencing. This includes system requirements and system architecture, but also oversight of the system test activities. You will learn broad base of knowledge in RF design for wireless communications, specifically focused on ing integrated RF transceivers and associated antenna design with direct experience training in radio transceiver application is required, with experience in LNA, mixer, VCO, synthesizer, and PA

Job responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:

  • Develop system requirements and interface requirements.

  • Maintain traceability of system requirements to customer requirements.

  • Ensure traceability of system requirements to detailed requirements.

  • Develop system architecture.

  • Maintain traceability of system architecture to system requirements.

  • Ensure traceability of system requirements to system test.

  • Perform/support System FMEA.

  • Follow system engineering processes.

  • Ensure system development and validation are according to ASIL ISO26262 and ASPICE.

Industry: Automotive

Development Processes: Structured (e.g. DO-178B like), ASPICE / ASIL

Communication Skills:

Excellent communication skills written and verbal.

Ability to communicate requirements to different teams

Leadership Skills:

Proficient working autonomously in a remote setting, without supervision, and able to complete tasks accurately and on time

Job Requirements -

5 - 10 years experience with embedded systems engineering (HW and SW)

Experience in automotive applications and applicable interfaces such as CAN, FlexRay, and LIN networks

Willingness to learn and complete and apprenticeship program

Experience with ISO26262 and FUSA

Experience developing in DOORs system requirements and interface documents

Experience performing system FMEA

Experience developing and documenting system architectures

Desired Skills & Experience -

The successful candidate should have a minimum qualification of BSEE; an MSEE is preferred.

Experience in RF design for wireless communications.

Understanding of all aspects of RF design for wireless communications systems.

Direct experience in radio transceiver application.

Experience in LNA, mixer, VCO, synthesizer, and PA design is desirable.

strong understanding of system level radio specifications and how they relate to radio performance.

Experience in PCB layout and design and how it relates to radio performance.

Experience with RF simulation tools and application to antenna design.

Experience with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth protocol requirements and system debug.

Experience with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth testing and test equipment.

Experience with RF Regulatory and EMC requirements, test and certification.
