JOB TITLE Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

GENERAL PURPOSE As a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, you'll strategically help transform our facilities in North America and other international facilities. Under minimal supervision and in a leading capacity, you will design, implement, test, and support AGVs-Automated Guided Vehicles, AMRs-Autonomous Mobile Robots, Automated Storage and Retrieval Solutions, and other Robotics integrations. In this role, you'll collaborate in a highly agile team to define, develop, and automate mobility and robotic capabilities/ strategies and implement corresponding deliverables.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Deploy mobility solutions (AGVs, AMRs, Conveyance, and AS/RS).

Integrate robotic cells for manufacturing.

Manage capital procurement projects for manufacturing equipment updates and installations.

Develop and implement electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery.

Install and provide technical support for PLC-based hardware and software.

QUALIFICATIONS*

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Electrical engineering knowledge/background is a plus.

Experience with AGV or AMR or Robotics is required.

5+ Years of hands-on experience in integrating and deploying automation/robotic systems in manufacturing.

3+ years of specialty engineering experience in robotics automation, including PLC programming and robotic programming experience.

Database experience, including SQL query knowledge a plus.

Experienced in manufacturing processes including but not limited to machine fabrication, finishing, assembly, and material handling.

Strong interpersonal skills, follow-up skills, and the ability to lead without direct authority.

Excellent project management skills.

Knowledgeable in Lean principles and application.

Must be able to assess process concepts and determine where continuous improvement opportunities exist.

Must be able to communicate effectively with people at various levels, including production, engineering, and management.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Additional Skills and Abilities*

Working knowledge of AB PLC controls and programming.

Functional knowledge in a programming language such as Linux, C++/Java/Python.

WIFI network infrastructure and security knowledge and experience preferred.

Design system layouts and determine operational requirements to generate a detailed system flow.

Perform all required calculations to validate system throughput and workability.

Function as a key engineering leader on a wide variety of material-handling solutions projects.

Management of all project phases such as opportunity evaluation, research of solutions, concept design, proof of concept, specification development through RFQs, integration supplier selection, technical reviews, and solution qualification.

Ability to incorporate mechanical, electrical, and programming elements of the integration. Support full project lifecycle, from inception to completion.

Familiar with the use and programming of robots (Fanuc preferred).

Proficient in AutoCAD 2D.
